Adams Race Recap from All Star
Speedway
Not my best outing this year! I
started 4th and the crew had my car nearly perfect. I was running in
the top 5
all night until on lap 98 on a restart I was going for second when
coming out of turn three I got loose and spun out. I got hit
hard in the right front front ending my night abruptly. Needless to
say we are working diligently to get the #98 ready for Halifax next
weekend.
Adams Race Recap from Riverside
Speedway
We qualified 4th and had a strong
race car all night after fighting to get the right setup throughout
practice. We finished 5th
after loosing 4th place on the final restart just before the rains
came and the checkered flew 15 laps early. I would have liked one
more restart to try to get in the top three.
Adams Race Recap from Thompson
Speedway
Adam and the team made their long anticipated stop at Thompson Speedway, the fastest track on the circuit, this season. Thompson is a 5/8 mile high banked oval, and the PASS Super Late Models are capable of speeds in
upwards of 140 m.p.h. on it.
The day started off well, Adam’s crew set him up with a great car. He was in the top ten all through practice. After a couple of adjustments Adam went out and finished fourth in his heat race. Due to the rule that PASS has, if you win a race you may not start higher than tenth in any feature for the rest of the season, Adam was starting 13th. He was running in the top ten for just about the whole race. “I had enough to stay with the leaders, but just couldn’t get by them” commented Adam afterwards. When all was said and done the 98 car crossed the finish line in 8th place.
Adams Race Recap from his win at Beech Ridge
The whole Bates Racing Team was looking forward to last Saturday
night’s race ever since the opening race of the season. Adam had a fourth place run at Beech Ridge this spring and knew that
they would be able to improve on it. Practice went well but Adam was not the fastest one out there. His crew chief Mark Lyden
made some calls and the crew went to work on the car.
When it came time to the heat race Adam was starting Third on the grid and by the half way mark he was in the
lead. He went on to win the heat race which put him on the pole for the feature and things were looking good from
the front of the 32 car field. Adam was in the lead for most of the first 40 laps until it slipped away shortly before a caution.
He ran third for the next 70 lap run until another caution brought a halt to the race. For the remainder of the race Adam held off Scott Chubbuck and
DJ Shaw who both put on a fierce battle. In the end Adam came out on top winning his first career PASS Super Late Model feature event.
Bates Scores first PASS North Super Late Model win at Beech Ridge
Adam Bates used the high groove to get the best of Scott Chubbuck
after a lap 110 restart and kept the field at
bay to the checkers to earn his first Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North super late model
win at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway Saturday night. The nineteen year old Warner New Hampshire racer beat D.J. Shaw and Chubbuck to the line in a blanket finish.
Beech Ridge regulars Bill Rodgers and David Oliver came home fourth and fifth in a race that was short on cautions and long on great racing all over the speedway .

Adams Race Recap from All-Star
Speedway
Friday night during the open practice
everything went well. According to the stop watch the car was one of the fastest cars out on the track.
Saturday morning started off with a couple scuff sessions to break in the new race tires, as soon as that
was done Adam and the team really got the car dialed in. Things were looking good going into the heat race,
the #98 was starting in the third position, but due to a faulty start by the pole sitter Adam wasn’t able to improve.
Unfortunately during the autograph session prior to the race the rain didn’t hold off anymore, the officials
announced that the make up date for the race would be Wednesday, July 30th. The next stop will be at Beech Ridge
Speedway in Scarborough Maine on this coming Saturday night. Last time there Adam had a strong fourth place run
and is confident that his team will give him an even better car this weekend.
