Adams Race Recap from Beech Ridge

Adam had another great run at Beech Ridge this weekend.  In the beginning practice didn’t go very well, but the crew never gave up and had the car back on track for the heat race.  Adam started sixth in his heat and quickly started making his way up, by  the white flag he was in the lead.  The heat race win put him on the outside of the front row for the feature.

With a great starting spot and a great car for the feature, Adam did all he could do to capitalize on it.  From the start he was fast, but just hung out and saved his equipment until the end.  With around thirty to go it looked as though he was going to walk away with the race until there were a few late race cautions.  With six laps to go it really got interesting when Adam had to restart right next to Johnny Clark for a shootout to the finish.  Adam edged past Clark and won his first race of the season.
